Qualifications
We are looking for a Virtualization Admin to work Remotely supporting our client
Clearance: US Citizen
This position requires a blend of
traditional virtualization skills with modern cloud migration and management
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in VMware, a
strong understanding of Azure cloud services, and proven success in cloud
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or
3-5 years of experience in virtualization administration, specifically
with VMware and Microsoft Azure environments
Linux
experience is a MUST
Strong background in cloud migrations, with hands-on experience
migrating workloads to Azure
Familiarity with Azure services (e.g., Azure Compute, Storage,
Networking, and Azure Site Recovery)
Proficient in networking principles and protocols, with a focus on
hybrid cloud connectivity and security
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot
complex issues across virtual and cloud environments
Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP),
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Solutions
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, capable of working
effectively in a team and with stakeholders at all levels
Benefits
Salary: $+1,000- $110,000
Responsibilities
Virtualization Administrator II is a key role focused on managing, optimizing,
and expanding our hybrid virtualization infrastructure, encompassing both on-premises
Design, install, configure, and manage virtual environments using VMware
for on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure for cloud services
Lead and support migration projects from on-premises environments to
Azure, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal downtime
Monitor and optimize performance across both VMware and Azure platforms,
implementing best practices for hybrid cloud operations
Develop and maintain cloud governance, cost management strategies, and
operational best practices in Azure
Collaborate with the IT security team to enforce and monitor security
policies and controls, ensuring compliance and data protection across both
on-premises and cloud environments
Manage virtual networks, storage, and compute resources in Azure,
ensuring scalability, availability, and efficiency
Provide technical leadership and support for disaster recovery and
business continuity efforts, leveraging Azure's capabilities to enhance
Keep abreast of new features and services offered by Azure, evaluating
and recommending tools and technologies to meet business needs
Develop comprehensive documentation for the architecture,
configurations, and operational procedures of the hybrid virtualization

Works in collaboration with other team members to establish and maintain a confidential and sensitive work environment, focusing on customer service by handling all customer requests in a professional manner
