Summary
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Administrator Co-op Student for an 8- or 12-Month work term starting in August or September 2025. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the successful candidate will provide support and assistance with a variety of administrative duties, within the Human Resources team. The successful candidate can be based in either Edmonton or Calgary.
Role and Responsibilities
Assist with recruitment activities (job postings development, posting positions, coordinating pre-screen video interviews, interview scheduling and preparation, facilitating checks and screening). May participate in interview process for designated positions.
Support the new hire onboarding process by sending out new hire Welcome Packages, collecting onboarding documents and entering employee record data, emails, and preparing/conducting New Hire Orientations
Respond to employee enquiries in a timely manner.
Provide general administrative support, such as preparing presentations, updating content on the intranet and other miscellaneous projects as required.
Assist in the coordination of HR related events (Career Fairs, Leadership Conferences, Student Program Events, etc.)
Qualifications and Skills
Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies related to Human Resources, Business, Commerce, or equivalent, and returning to school after the co-op term.
Some experience working in HR or related coursework would be preferred.
Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
