The HRBP plays an integral role in supporting our Commercial business partners to achieve their business objectives through proactive engagement and execution of people priorities. This role requires well-rounded HR partner experience with proven ability to build impactful relationships. This position will appeal to candidates who are solution-focused and have a passion for contributing towards employee engagement. Navigating multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment will be essential for success. The role will have a dedicated client group and will collaborate with, and report to, the Senior Manager, HRBP – Commercial.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

Provide HR support in talent and performance management, employee relations, recruitment, compensation matters, leadership and learning, and other key HR processes.
Collaborate directly with business leaders to address talent needs and people priorities
Coach and provide guidance on employee relations, performance MLF Values and Leadership capabilities
Support people survey process and action planning to foster employee engagement
Identify learning and development opportunities aligned with functional and leadership competencies
Participate in change management initiatives in support of the business
Navigate HR systems (SAP)and data analytics insights
Partner with HR COE’s for comprehensive and efficient service to the business
Participate on projects to improve service and/or efficiencies

What You’ll Bring:

3+ years as an HR professional with direct business partner experience
Post-secondary education, with ongoing commitment to continuous learningSkilled in facilitating performance and talent management initiatives
Excellent communicator with the ability to coach and influence all levels
Able to build credibility through strong relationship management and engagement
Highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple priorities
Solution-focused approach to problem solving and decision making
Proactive self-starter and collaborative team member
Agility and resiliency to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Highly aligned with Maple Leaf Foods Leadership Values & Capabilities
Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with SAP preferred
