The Human Resources Director is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s human resources strategy in alignment with its mission, vision, and long-term goals. This role provides strategic guidance and hands-on leadership across all facets of HR including talent acquisition, employee development, culture and engagement, compensation, compliance, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and long-term goals.
Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, offering insights and data to drive decision-making.
Talent Management & Development
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives.
Design and lead talent development programs, succession planning, and career pathing.
Foster a learning culture and oversee training programs that build capability.
Employee Relations & Culture
Promote a positive organizational culture that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
Lead employee engagement initiatives, conflict resolution, and grievance procedures.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation structures and benefits programs.
Monitor market trends to ensure offerings attract and retain top talent.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
Lead investigations and risk mitigation strategies related to HR issues.
HR Operations & Systems
Manage HR budgets and optimize HR processes, systems (e.g., HRIS), and data analytics.
Lead change management efforts in times of organizational transition.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Professional certifications such as CPHR, SPHR, are an asset.
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Deep knowledge of employment law, organizational development, and HR best practices.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive organizational change.
Experience in retail HR preferred.
