Responsibilities
As an HR Assistant, you will be instrumental in performing a variety of human resources functions such as onboarding and offboarding, payroll processing, and benefits administration
Facilitate the entire onboarding and offboarding process for employees, ensuring a smooth and professional transition
Coordinate the preparation of payroll, handling pertinent details such as absences, bonuses, and leaves
Respond promptly to payroll queries, ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner
Actively participate in the annual benefits open enrollment process, providing support in disseminating benefits information and responding to employee questions
Work closely with insurance providers to troubleshoot issues related to benefits administration
Conduct and assist in compensation and benefits surveys or vendor comparisons to monitor competitive plans
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
Assist in the creation and updating of policies, procedures, and guides within the HR department
Ensure all HR-related activities are in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
Work on special projects related to HR initiatives as needed

We are on the lookout for a skilled Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry, located in Addison, Illinois. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As an HR Assistant, you will be instrumental in performing a variety of human resources functions such as onboarding and offboarding, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
Responsibilities
