Responsibilities
Manage and lead the US HR team’s daily operations, offering direction as needed, advising and coaching
Ensure compliance with US employment laws and regulations are adhered to in all areas of HR practice
Manage the full talent acquisition process, including recruitment, job postings, resume review, interviewing and hiring while ensuring diversity and inclusion
Oversee the full employment lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding
Oversee and manage US benefit plans, while managing relationships with external suppliers with continuous communication to employees
Partner with stakeholders and leadership to implement HR initiatives aligned with company strategy
Address complex employee relations issues, including dispute resolutions, terminations, grievances and disciplinary
Coach, influence and advise managers on a range of HR best practices and matters
Contribute to compensation and performance management processes
Collaborate with Global L&D on employee development initiatives
Review monthly payroll while working closely with US finance
Coordination with the wider global HR functions on a range of HR processes and procedures
Awareness and tracking of US HR and US L&D department budgets
Performs other HR duties as assigned and/or relevant
Job description
Alfa is seeking a seasoned HR professional to step into a critical role as our temporary HR Manager for a 6-month period. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our US HR team and ensure seamless operations while our current HR Manager is on sabbatical. This role is hybrid in nature with opportunities to work from home and in our Royal Oak, Michigan office.
We are looking for this temporary position to start approximately Oct 28 or Nov 4, 2024 and end on May 2nd, 2025.
Key responsibilities:

We would love you to have:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
• SHRM CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred
• Proven experience in HR management, including employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits, and compliance
