Job Title: ICU Associate Nurse Unit Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ICU Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our exceptional team at the Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide's metropolitan southern region.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in leading and supporting the nursing team in delivering outstanding care to critically ill patients. Your responsibilities will include providing clinical leadership, ensuring adherence to best practice standards, fostering a positive team culture, and contributing to the continuous improvement of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other AN/MUM and the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent.
Assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in undertaking ward/unit/service management responsibilities, e.g., performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring.
Review and update policies and procedures in line with current practice.
Promote and implement strategies to support National Safety and Quality Health Services (NHQHS) Standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
To be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
To hold a recognised postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing.
To have at least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse.
To demonstrate competence in Critical Care nursing practice in accordance with relevant standards.
To have experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
