Curriculum and Programs
We offer a comprehensive Year 7-10 curriculum based on the Victorian Curriculum, with a range of performing and visual arts, and design technology classes. Our students also participate in an applied learning inquiry-based program in Year +, which develops their interpersonal, problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative thinking skills.

In Years 10-12, students have access to a broad range of VCE subjects offered through face-to-face classes and blended delivery methods. We also offer a strong VCE-Vocational Major (VM) program, which supports students in enrolling in a VET Certificate with external providers and completing Structured Workplace Learning one day per week.

Supporting Student Wellbeing
Our dedicated Student Wellbeing and Student Inclusion Teams work tirelessly to provide meaningful interventions and support to ensure all students' individual learning and wellbeing needs are met.

Neerim District Secondary College receives strong support from the Neerim South community, and our students are regularly involved in volunteering and supporting local community events.

About the Role
This education support class position requires a committed and experienced individual who can provide routine support for teachers, communicate effectively with parents and students, and perform technical tasks. The role involves assisting with planning student routines, providing basic physical care and wellbeing support, addressing immediate behavioural presentations, and supporting teachers in the coordination of educational programs.

Demonstrated capacity to perform duties consistent with established guidelines and frameworks.
Capacity to work and collaborate with others in a team environment.
Effective communication and technical knowledge relevant to the position.
Possess a commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.
Conditions of Employment
This vacancy is specifically linked to Student Support Funding and is ongoing. If funding reduces or ceases during the first seven years of employment, employment may cease subject to the provision of at least 12 weeks' notice.
