Indigenous Student Recruiter (Term Full-Time)

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated June 16, 2025 up to November 3, 2025)
SALARY: $62,337 - $87,85+ per annum
POSITION LOCATION: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

ELIGIBILITY LIST: This competition may be used to establish a 6 month eligibility list of qualified candidates for future vacancies.
DUTIES
Reporting to the Manager, Indigenous Student Recruitment; the Indigenous Student Recruiter is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing student recruitment strategies targeting future Indigenous students. These strategies must be culturally appropriate, inclusive, and supportive of prospective Indigenous students, sponsors, and communities. This includes developing and nurturing relationships and networking with internal and external stakeholders to support Indigenous enrolment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Arts, Business or Education. Other combinations of education and lived experience may be considered
Several years of recruitment-related experience
Knowledge of recruitment strategies and best practices, including planning, developing and implementing recruitment strategies
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture, history, knowledge systems, and Indigenous community-building practices and protocols
Knowledge of Indigenous structures and processes, including Indigenous organizations, agencies, communities, and other stakeholders
Understanding of post-secondary educational programming, services and supports, through the student life cycle from recruitment to graduation
Experience in public speaking and outreach, and delivering presentations that meet the diverse needs of the group
Experience in event planning and implementation including scheduling, equipment and resources.
Knowledge of key performance indicators and how these are tied to Indigenous student recruitment. This includes the ability to research, collect and analyze data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and use of online event registration systems
Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Academic credentials in project management
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
This position may be required to work overtime
This position may be required to travel
May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver`s license
Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
Incumbent may be required to lift or move items up to 50 lbs.
