Your day-to-day!

Operate the hydroelectric power plants by way of conducting and documenting all regular monitoring and maintenance;
Carry out all actions required to optimize the output and production of the power plants;
Participate in monitoring and execution of a Preventative Maintenance program for plants and facilities equipment including the electrical and mechanical testing and repair of equipment.

Carry out all necessary actions for the troubleshooting and resolution of alarms generated by the hydroelectric power plants to minimize downtime (availability 24 hours a day) when on duty;
Manage and/or assist any specialized contractors/consultants needed to perform maintenance and repairs at the power plants;
Participate in the daily work planning and operations activities;•
Adhere to and implement the Occupational Health and Safety standards and Innergex;
Employees are required to be on-call (standby) for situations requiring immediate action related to production and/or security rotating on an on-call schedule.
Team members take turns being on-call, typically on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Each team member is responsible for handling any urgent issues or emergencies that arise during their on-call period. This can include evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on the needs of the team.
Your skills, our requirements!

Relevant or equivalent training and experience to the role, experience as a millwright, industrial-heavy mechanics is preferred
Possess a BC driver’s license in good standing as well as a general appreciation for outdoors
Experience with 4-wheel drives and snowmobiles is required (Class 1 driver’s licence, an asset).
Experience with hydro plant operations, an asset
Experience in heavy equipment operation, an asset
Must be a “hands-on”, self-starter
Have good interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and computer)
Commitment to further education relevant to the role: Innergex provides formal and in-house training, as required
Additional considerations!

The position is based at the Rutherford site.
This position is a O3 level.
The site and work details:

The site is a located 10 minutes south of Pemberton, BC;
Employees’ work schedule is 5 days on and 2 days off at 8 hours per day for a total of 80 working hours per two (2) week period;
Travel time to/from the site is not included in these hours.

Pay Transparency Statement

Compensation for roles at Innergex varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, and level of experience. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.

In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $78 000 - $+5 000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired by Innergex, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
