Teachers are expected to complete daily observations of children and create daily experience plans that build on children’s prior experiences

Teachers are responsible for capitalizing on opportunities to help children build vocabulary, by asking the children a series of follow-up questions to get a deeper understanding from the children
In collaboration with others in the program, make decisions daily on materials, activities, and environments that provide a balance that supports the child’s learning
Responsible for the observation, and documentation of each child’s health, behavior, growth, and development
Supervise children, following all safety and health rules for the eight children in the classroom
Keep the environment safe, clean organized, and accessible to children
Complete appropriate documentation to report incidents and accidents

United Way Miami is looking for an Infant Toddler Teacher who will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development for children 0 to 36 months. Carol City Elementary is located in the Miami Gardens area. The focus of our work is to provide comprehensive high-quality early care and education to low-income families living in this area.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Teacher/Child Interactions
