About the Company
Our client, a leading food manufacturer with a reputation for quality and innovation, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Site General Manager to oversee their operations during a period of transition. Based in Greater London, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead a well-established site and make a tangible impact on its performance and strategic direction.
The Role
As the Interim Site General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational management and strategic leadership of the site. Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will ensure the delivery of KPIs across production, quality, health & safety, and cost efficiency, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the site’s operations, ensuring production targets are met in line with company standards and customer expectations.
• Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee all site functions, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, food safety standards, and other statutory requirements.
• Manage budgets and P&L to deliver financial performance targets.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the site leadership team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, including customers and auditors.
• Support the transition of leadership and ensure a smooth handover at the conclusion of the contract.
About You
• Proven experience as a Site General Manager or equivalent role in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of driving performance and engagement.
• Expertise in food safety, compliance, and health & safety regulations.
• Commercially astute with experience in managing budgets and delivering financial results.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Experience leading operational change and transformation projects is highly desirable.
