Job Description:
As an Intern - Strength and Conditioning Coach at Flow Sports Life Badminton Academy, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our athletes and contribute to their physical development. This internship is a valuable learning experience for individuals passionate about sports coaching and physical fitness. The applicant must be a resident of Gurugram.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in Athlete Assessments: Conduct initial fitness assessments for athletes to evaluate their strength, flexibility, endurance, and overall physical condition.
2. Design Training Programs: Collaborate with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach to develop tailored strength and conditioning programs for individual athletes based on their specific needs and goals.
3. Implement Training Protocols: Supervise and guide athletes during strength and conditioning sessions to ensure they perform exercises with proper technique and safety.
4. Monitor Progress: Track and record athlete progress, making necessary adjustments to training programs as needed.
5. Nutritional Guidance: Provide basic nutritional advice and guidelines to athletes to support their training and recovery.
6. Rehabilitation Support: Assist in injury prevention and rehabilitation exercises, working closely with our physiotherapy team when necessary.
7. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all strength and conditioning equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
8. Education: Stay updated on the latest trends and research in strength and conditioning, attending workshops or courses as needed.
Qualifications:
• Residency in Gurugram is mandatory.
• Enthusiasm for sports and a passion for helping athletes achieve their best.
• Pursuing or completed a degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of strength and conditioning principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with coaching staff.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one).
Duration: This is a temporary internship position with a flexible duration, typically ranging from 3 to 6 months.
