About the Role
The Internal Assurance team provides objective assurance and advisory services to enable MBIE to deliver on its strategic objectives. As an Assurance Advisor, you will support the team in delivering internal assurance reviews, collaborating with other teams to gather information, understand areas of risk, and assess compliance.
You will work with the Internal Assurance Practice Lead and Head of Internal Assurance to build and enhance the overall capability of the team. A key expectation is a willingness to learn and develop a thorough understanding of best practice assurance frameworks and processes, and stay updated on industry trends.
This is a pathway position, responsible for supporting the Internal Assurance team to analyse, monitor, and report internal audit activity, performance, and associated risks to senior managers, SLT, and MBIE's Risk and Advisory Committee.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse data to identify patterns and draw meaningful conclusions.
Assess processes to identify inconsistencies or risks.
Support reviews and produce high-quality reports.
Build strong working relationships with peers, senior managers, and staff at all levels.
