DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an Internal Auditor who can apply broad operational knowledge and sound business judgment to execute operational audits across Amazon's diverse businesses and technical environments.
This is a high visibility opportunity where you will gain valuable exposure to many business areas and be able to influence important improvements that make a real difference. Our team is cross-functional, and you will perform a wide range of operational and technical audits, so we are seeking a candidate with broad experience in Operations, Commercial, Compliance, IT, and/or Financial auditing. You must also be comfortable performing as an individual contributor and teammate and in doing so will have the opportunity to learn our business, our IT environment, and meet a wide range of stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
Execute audits, including fieldwork testing, documenting audit work, drafting written findings, and facilitating business responses and corrective action plans
Dive deep into the details to develop meaningful findings and recommend root cause remediation
Facilitate multiple stakeholders to agree on appropriate solutions and verify that risks are mitigated appropriately
A day in the life
You will work with an Audit Manager and Lead Auditor conducting end-to-end financial, operational, IT, and compliance audits across Amazon businesses. You must be able to dive deep to learn and understand complex business processes, assess mechanisms and controls, and identify risks. You should be comfortable interacting with a range of roles and functions across business, technical, finance, and legal stakeholders.
You will use your writing skills to succinctly communicate identified issues in business terms. You must help prioritize findings and recommendations in tune with business objectives. You should be able to facilitate multiple stakeholders to agree on appropriate solutions and verify that risks are mitigated appropriately. You must be a strong project manager, who can balance multiple tasks and work autonomously to accomplish assigned work.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, business, engineering, information systems, computer science or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Audit or risk management experience (conducting audits, performing assessments, assessing controls)
Big 4 OR consulting firm OR Internal Audit experience
Relevant certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA)
Experience collaborating on a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent project management experience
Experience working with data and using analytics tools (Excel, Tableau, writing data queries, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
