As an Investment Associate at Climate Tech Partners, you will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments in cutting-edge climate tech startups. You will work closely with our team to identify promising investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, and support portfolio companies and founders in achieving their growth objectives. In addition you will manage fund reporting and support other fund admin. You will also have the opportunity to attend and participate in ecosystem events and relevant conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Due Diligence: conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective investments, including external interviews, engagement with corporate partners, financial analysis, market research, competitive analysis, and technology assessments.
IC Preparation: synthesise DD information into investment memos and respond to IC questions.
Portfolio Management: assist in the management and support of portfolio companies, including founder and corporate partner engagement, performance monitoring, strategic planning, and operational improvements.
Deal Sourcing: identify and source potential investment opportunities in the climate tech sector through networking, industry events, and market research.
Reporting: prepare presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Management: work closely with the analyst to help her develop and grow her skills
Market Research: stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in the climate tech space to inform investment strategies.
Relationship Building: build and maintain relationships with founders, corporate partners, industry experts, co-investors, and other stakeholders within the climate tech ecosystem.
Requirements
Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in an investment role (VC, PE, Infrastructure) or have a due diligence role (consulting, advisory, IB, government grants).
Knowledge or experience in the climate tech and/or one of CTP’s target sector (Energy, Transport and Industry) is desirable.
