Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
Installing the necessary systems and security tools like Antivirus, IDS, IPS, etc.
Establish a system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, Operating System Management Systems, defining system, and operational policies and procedures
Establish and secure the Internet Gateway with a Firewall system, integrating the VPN system, defining Firewall policies and procedures
Maintain the organization’s communication system, such as telephones and mobile device management
Conduct IT training programs for newcomers and existing employees as per the requirement

Academic and professional background:

BE/B.Tech/MCA/B.Sc IT
Strong academic background and aptitude with consistent performance at all levels/record of extra-curricular achievements
0-5 years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Knowledge about SOC-2 requirements from IT perspective

Required skills:

Excellent technical knowledge of computer hardware
Working knowledge of current protocols, standards, and operating systems, such as Windows 10, Windows 7/8, Windows Server 2012/2016/201+
CCNA, CCNP, and MSCE certification
A+ and N+ certification
Microsoft 365 Certified Professional
Software and Hardware troubleshooting
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010, Office 2013 & Office 2016 support
Knowledge of routers, switches, and firewall
Strong fundamentals in networking and troubleshooting

Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management

Experience with Linux servers

Experience with AWS or Azure will be an advantage
Should possess good communication and interpersonal skills
Can work independently with minimal guidance or supervision
Excellent multi-tasking skills

Willingness to grow and learn
