About the role:

We are looking for a motivated IT Apprentice to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge in networking (CCNA preferred) and experience or coursework in asset management. This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in a fast-paced IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Technical Assistance:
• Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Assist in resolving user queries and ensure timely escalation of complex issues.

2.Network Support:
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices.
• Support network monitoring and maintenance activities.
• Participate in implementing network security measures.

3.Asset Management:
• Help maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets (hardware and software).
• Assist in documenting asset management processes.
• Support the lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, and retirement.

4.Learning and Development:
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with team members on projects to gain practical experience.

Qualifications:

Education:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (CCNA certification preferred).
• Familiarity with asset management practices and tools.
• Basic understanding of Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems and common applications.

Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
