Summary
We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our tight-knit team and implement various human resources programs. If you have a passion for HR, are familiar with California labor law, and are looking to advance your career, this is the place to be. Your role as an HRBP will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing trainings, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. You’ll act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics. The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole. Your territory will be all of CA state with the expectation you are in locations 3 days a week.

Responsibilities
• Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
• Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
• Be the first line of contact to provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves, benefits, compensation, and resolve any issues that may arise
• Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
• Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
• Weekly site visits to your locations
• Conduct investigations and provide guidance on the outcome
• Handle any unemployment, legal, EEOC, or DOL cases that may arise.
• Work closely with operations partners in order to provide training for employees and establish ways to increase employee engagement.

Qualifications
• Proven experience as a HR Generalist or HRBP
• Bachelor's Degree
• SHRM, PHR, or other certification highly desired
• Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong aptitude in problem-solving
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Experience handling Title VII investigations
• Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
• Prior experience with ADP is a plus
• Previous experience in the food and beverage industry a huge plus
• Able to travel to restaurants 3 days per week and have a quiet environment to work from 2 days a week
• Able to be on call or work weekends if extreme need arises

The Position

Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.

Under administrative direction, incumbents either: 1) perform duties described at this level and supervise at least one IT Professional III or II or Master IT Professional; or 2) perform duties described at this level within the Enterprise IT Services (EITS) Division for enterprise- level IT systems utilized by multiple departments; or 3) perform IT project management a preponderance of the time to include serving as the project leader; planning, organizing, and directing project activities; resolving design conflicts; data administration; resource allocation; contract negotiation; timeline development; critical path tracking; justifying the need for additional resources; and coordinating activities with other work units within and outside the organization as assigned; or 4) perform Information Security duties described at this level with at least 70% of the daily activities devoted solely to information security; or 5) perform technology planning and consultation duties within EITS. Technology planning and consultation duties include providing and/or performing: initial contact with agencies to assess their needs and develop their information technology plans; technical support for the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and software and hardware evaluations; guidance and technical assistance in completing appropriate Information Technology (IT) budget request forms; recommendations for feasible and cost effective technical solutions to customer agencies and reviewing agency IT project requests; research, information, testing and training for IT related issues to ensure viable, cost effective technology implementation; and enterprise-wide planning, policy and research.

This recruitment is for an Information Technology (IT) Professional 4 position within the Governor's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) located in Carson City, Nevada. IT Security Professionals administer security policies, security operations, and/or maintain oversight of information systems and data within the assigned area of information security responsibility. The incumbent will work with stakeholders and partners (internal and external) to improve and execute a comprehensive incident response program and process within the State by acting as a point of contact for external Federal and private Security Operations Centers (SOCs) for security alerts, triaging reports for routing and prioritization, researching threat intelligence for Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and applicability to the State, and applying IOCs to appropriate defenses. The incumbent will also work with partner agencies on improving continuous monitoring of State resources. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computerscience, management information systems, or closely related field and five years of professional IT experiencerelevant to the duties of the position which may include systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, two years of which were at the advanced journey level or in a supervisory or project management capacity; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and five years of professional IT experience which may include systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, relevant to the duties of the position, two years of which were at the journey level in information security; OR two years of relevant experience as an IT Professional III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
