Senior Policy Officer Full-Time Permanent

Job description
The Strategy, Planning and Policy (Business Improvement) team sits within the Planning & Delivery Branch for Transport Canberra and undertakes activities and projects aimed at building operational excellence within Transport Canberra through effective undertaking of portfolio responsibilities including future business planning, strategy and policy development and maintenance, asset management and infrastructure planning, accidents and claims, as well as public transport patronage and performance data analysis and reporting. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Policy Office to join our team.
As the Senior Policy Officer, you will be responsible for researching, drafting and providing high-quality policy advice on public transport strategic and operational policy. This includes drafting and consulting on operational policies ensuring that legislative, regulatory and strategic requirements are incorporated, and providing support to the management and oversight of policy and risk management business processes across the Transport Canberra business under limited direction.

Reporting to the Director, Strategy, Planning and Policy, you will play an active role in the creation, maintenance, monitoring, education and implementation of operational policies and advice to senior management and executive groups on the policy and procedural related matters via risk and quality-based approach to the business activities.
