Intake Coordinator

Hazardous Duty Pay is available for this position.
The Law Enforcement & Custodial Officers System (LECOS) Retirement Plan applies to employees in this role.
A TDCJ Training Academy certification is required.
Telephonic Interviews will not be accepted.
A Work Site Visit may be conducted as part of the hiring process.
Study Material is available to assist applicants with preparing for the interview.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
One year of full-time, wage-earning customer service, clerical, administrative support, technical program support, or criminal justice experience is also required.
Preferred qualifications include:

Major course work in Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or a related field.
Computer operations experience.
Case processing, report writing, or interviewing experience.
Experience in the supervision of employees.
In addition, candidates must be able to obtain a certificate of course completion for the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) policy and procedures training within six months of employment date.

A list of applicable Military Occupational Specialty codes includes 15, 36, 42, 56, 68, 88, 8+, +2, AZ, CS, LS, PS, RP, SH, SN, YN, 360, 420, SK, 01, 30, 60, 66, 3A, SDI, 8A200. Candidates are expected to have the ability to type 45 WPM net with no more than 10 errors.
