About the Role
Boston Government Services, LLC is a leading engineering, technology, and security firm dedicated to advancing missions of national importance. As a Welding Engineer at Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN, you will play a vital role in supporting our nuclear solutions mission.
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in welding requirements, code acceptance, and process optimization. You will be responsible for reviewing design output documents, evaluating bid proposals, and conducting vendor surveillances to ensure compliance with contractually specified welding requirements.
Your contributions will also include training site personnel on welding requirements, criteria, and compliance documents. Additionally, you will maintain oversight of Rod Rooms and generate Weld Inspection Records for completeness and correctness.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in designs from scope definition to preliminary/detailed designs.
Write welding requirements for procurement documents, code-acceptable welding, brazing, and bonding procedures.
Solve problems in designing and maintaining plant facilities and processes.
Train site personnel on welding requirements and criteria.
Review design output documents for welding technical data.
