Permanent part-time position 20 hours per week
Commitment required to work Mon - Fri: 7:30pm - 11:30pm

Help us deliver like never before

As our Indoor Parcel and Mail Sorter, you’ll be working at the Mackay Delivery Centre where you’ll be responsible for manually sorting mail in preparation for delivery the next day. You’ll play a key role in supporting our Posties, who provide a vital service to our local community every single day. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be working together with a friendly team of like-minded people, and your community relies on you, and it doesn’t get better than that!


You’ll be

Working efficiently individually or in a team to manually sort mail into logical street, number and into an appropriate round
Lifting and handling heavy parcels and bags of mail regularly in the delivery centre warehouse
On your feet doing physical and often repetitive work for your full shift
Required to use manual pallet jacks and stackers to receive and despatch large volume of mail
Provided initial and ongoing training with senior team members who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development

About you

You are flexible with working additional hours if required
You have great hand/eye coordination, and excellent attention to detail for when sorting mail
You enjoy physical and repetitive work indoors and can comfortably lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory

Post probationary $ (after 3 months training rate) is $30.+3 base per hour plus additional 15% shift penalties and 12% superannuation
