Graduate Teacher Program

A Range 1 Classroom Teacher is responsible for teaching a range of students and classes, with a focus on classroom management, subject content, and teaching practice.

New entrants to the teaching profession will receive structured support, mentoring, and guidance from teachers at higher levels.

Teachers at this level are accountable for the effective delivery of their programs and may have responsibility for supervising and training student teachers.

The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching programs or courses of study, as well as monitoring and assessing student progress in key learning areas.

Additional responsibilities may include supervising student activities, contributing to co-curricular programs, and participating in professional development.

Applicants must have completed their course requirements within the last 4 years, be registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, and meet other eligibility criteria outlined in the advertisement.
