Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import and Export Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the transportation and logistics of goods across international borders, ensuring compliance with trade regulations while maintaining cost efficiency and timeliness. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in import/export operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs documentation, and compliance.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in English (minimum upper-intermediate level)
Responsibilities
• Plan and manage import/export activities, including shipment scheduling and transportation logistics.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Prepare and review documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, and export licenses.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays or issues.
• Negotiate freight rates and services with carriers to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and provide regular status reports.
• Analyze logistics processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
