School Cleaning And Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cleaner to join our team at Kalkie State School. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a high level of cleaning support to ensure the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site.

Duties will include cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors, and cupboards, as well as disposing of rubbish and litter control.

The Cleaner will also be responsible for cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays, maintaining equipment, and performing tasks such as cobweb and mildew control, hosing, removal of graffiti, sweeping and vacuuming, and vinyl/timber floor maintenance.

We are looking for an individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

This position is a Temporary Part-time role of 34 hours per fortnight or 0.44 FTE, until 12 December 2026 unless otherwise determined.
