Level A: $+3,065 - $10+,033 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation
Must be an enrolled UOW Postgraduate Student to be eligible
About the Positions

The Associate Lecturer positions within the School of Social Sciences are teaching intensive roles which involve the delivery and coordination of subject lectures, tutorials and/or other teaching activities, as well as assessment marking and student consultation. Teaching is across various undergraduate criminology and general social science subjects. These positions will make a significant contribution to the teaching efforts within the School of Social Sciences at undergraduate level and will also include a component of governance and service activities.

Successful applicants will have relevant criminology qualifications and/or substantial experience (or expertise in a closely aligned area), as well as experience teaching into criminology subjects at the tertiary level. They will demonstrate a capacity to contribute to the School of Social Sciences in multiple ways, including contributing to marketing and engagement activities, and/or completing other governance activities relevant to the School and role.

We are seeking educators with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Criminal justice systems and processes
Criminological theory
Crime prevention
Youth crime and justice
International crime and justice
Policing
Criminological research methods
About You

To be eligible to undertake one of these positions you must be a UOW student currently enrolled in Higher Degree Research or a Postgraduate Course.

You will be an experienced educator with academic qualification/s in Criminology or an aligned field, with expertise in one or more criminological topics, and with demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the discipline areas listed above. You will be required to demonstrate skills and experience relevant to subject teaching in Criminology at university level.
