Job Description

The No Gammin – Koori Pathways Program is designed to support the development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff in entry-level roles within the Department of Communities and Justice. The program aims to build a talent pool to fill ongoing and temporary positions in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area and Regional NSW.

Selected participants will be employed by the Department of Communities and Justice and enrolled in a Certificate III in Business course, with intakes scheduled for October, February, and June. Training will be delivered during business hours through a combination of face-to-face blocks and online sessions.

Key responsibilities include providing clerical and administrative support, using computer systems to accurately enter data, and working effectively in a fast-paced court registry environment. Candidates should possess strong time management skills, a professional demeanor, and enjoy working in a supportive team environment.

We offer a challenging and rewarding career with flexible work arrangements, competitive pay and conditions, training opportunities, and access to employee assistance programs. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of children, adults, families, and communities, and we're committed to breaking disadvantage rather than managing it.

To apply, please submit an up-to-date resume (maximum 5 pages) and cover letter (maximum 3 pages), outlining your experience and how you meet the capabilities of the role. If you require any adjustments or have questions about the application process, please contact Natalie Cummings via phone or email.

We strive to create an inclusive and diverse workforce, embracing people from various backgrounds, including those with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, women, LGBTIQ+ individuals, culturally and linguistically diverse people, carers, and other diversity groups.
