Responsibilities
As a Communications Specialist with our Advocacy team, you will be responsible for generating press outcomes that make an impact, translating policies and initiatives into compelling narratives and sellable stories, and using interpersonal and influencing skills to liaise with the media, State and Federal Government, Media Officers, and Local Government Communication experts. You will also collaborate with the Marketing, Events, and Comms team to plan and execute projects and campaigns that drive results, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and contribute to the development of new ideas and initiatives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience across internal and external communications, strong media connections, and a thorough knowledge of legislation and professional ethics relating to media and communications. You will also need to be able to liaise with people from all backgrounds and at all professional levels with a natural ability to build relationships. In addition, you will need to be able to work effectively in a team environment, and to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
