In-House Counsel

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled solicitor to join our Legal Services branch as an in-house counsel. The successful candidate will provide legal representation and advice to the council and its managers and staff on a wide range of legal issues.

Main Duties:
Provide legal advice and representation on various matters;
Assist in resolving disputes and representing the council in court proceedings and tribunals;
Draft, review, and advise on commercial documents;
Essential Skills:
Current unrestricted Legal Practicing Certificate;
Proven experience in litigation and dispute resolution;
High-level written and oral communication skills;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
