Job Description
Work as a transcription specialist for the Ministry of Justice, providing accurate records of court proceedings. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, transcribing various types of cases and hearings. You will be part of a national network, working together to create high-quality transcripts. With a strong understanding of legal protocols and procedures, you will be able to handle sensitive and complex content with discretion.
The ideal candidate will have excellent audio-typing skills, a high standard of written English, and the ability to learn new systems and navigate multiple applications. Experience in a detailed-focused environment is essential, as well as the ability to understand and apply legal protocols and court procedures. You will also need to be able to research and learn complex terminology, such as legal and medical terms.
This role offers flexible working hours, with the opportunity to accrue extra hours worked and use them at a later date. You will also receive a range of benefits, including paid annual leave, reimbursement for hearing tests and glasses, and access to an employee assistance program.
