Government Operational Housing Specialist

Urban Development Strategy Role
As Urban Development Strategy Lead, you will be responsible for shaping the government's operational housing delivery strategy. This involves leading a team to develop and embed new frameworks and tools, ensuring effective implementation of national strategies and plans in places. Your work will form a critical part of our purchasing approach, developing parameters that support the Ministry's investment approach. You will also coordinate with other government agencies where contributions and perspectives are needed around housing delivery.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate exceptional leadership and project management skills. A strong background in strategy implementation, combined with a deep understanding of effective information management, is essential. You should be able to establish a shared information base to inform a range of activities, with a practical and solutions-focused approach. An understanding of government, particularly as it relates to housing, is also crucial. Demonstrated leadership experience, particularly in establishing new functions and developing capability, is highly desirable.
