Sr. Accountant

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in SUNBURY, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and providing analytical reporting. This position will also involve evaluating current procedures, ensuring sound internal controls, and assisting with system implementations and testing.Responsibilities:• Prepare and analyze journal entries in accordance with GAAP.• Conduct account reconciliation and prepare necessary reports.• Support business owners with internal and/or external reporting for appropriate financial statement disclosure.• Evaluate current procedures and document changes as necessary.• Assist in system implementations and testing to ensure efficient operations.• Prepare analysis for management and external auditors for quarterly and annual analytical reviews.• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal associates to answer questions and resolve issues.• Investigate and analyze discrepancies, recommend resolutions, and escalate as needed.• Generate various daily, weekly, and monthly reports for distribution and use as necessary.• Assist with company projects as assigned and cross-train in multiple department positions.This role requires skills in Month End Close, Financial Reporting, and General Ledger.
