Job Description

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree; completion of military technical training and field experience may substitute for an Associate's Degree; high school diploma or equivalent required
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without Sponsorship
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds
This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard
Responsibilities
Supervises the day to day activities of assigned service engineers ensuring appropriate customer support
May be responsible for engineers across several customer sites
Assigns activities of individual field engineers and provides technical assistance as needed including equipment repair and maintenance, parts ordering and tracking, etc
Defines performance objectives of individual service engineers and conducts formal performance evaluations as scheduled and informal counseling as needed
Meets with customers and engineers regularly and as needed to identify and resolve any issues or ongoing concerns
Reviews, approves and follows up on status reports, time sheets, etc
Conducts job applicant interviews and may make hire decisions
Ensures employees get proper training as available for assigned equipment
Participates in the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment as needed or assigned
Intercedes between engineer and administrative offices, factory, or customer as required
Maintains company vehicles, tools or other property and ensures subordinates do as well
Maintains an appropriate, professional disposition with customers and co-workers as the company’s representative
Performs other related duties as assigned
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
