Analyst Programmer

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join ADM Trading Australia and join the global IT team in the local office. Reporting to the Service Delivery lead in the APAC region, the successful applicant will work closely with the business units to turn business ideas into IT solutions in a timely and cost effective way. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Engage with the business users to understand the business needs and then translate those needs into business/functional requirement documents.
• Translate high level business/functional requirements into technical program specifications.
• Work in a small team to develop software enhancements and bug fixes on an IBM Power System (AS/400) using RPGLE, SQL CLLE and XML etc.
• Prepare and execute test plans.
• Ad-hoc duties as required

Your Profile

You will be a team player who is highly motivated and able to work under minimal supervision, you will also be able to manage your own small projects and have a high level of attention to detail, additional capabilities but not limited to;
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology desirable.
• At least 5 years’ experience in software analysis and design for the AS/400 and RPGLE/DB2 environment.
• Experience in the Agribusiness sector or a pastural background is advantageous.
• Excellent knowledge of the IBM AS/400 environment including RPGLE, CLLE and SQL etc. essential
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with users in countries where English is not their first language.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Basic knowledge of MS Dynamics Navision desirable
• Basic Knowledge of Pentana Solutions’ DocuSmart Output desirable (formally known as WilComm).
