Qualifications
10-12 years of experience in managing Postgres databases
5 years of experience should be on the cloud version preferably AWS experience in managing databases as RDS services in AWS, security policy, user authentication, IAM, and database administration in AWS
Ability to efficiently write database code without compromising data quality, privacy, or security
Hands-on Experience in Jira, GitHub, Ansible & Terraform
Must possess good communication skills, both in verbal and in written form, and be Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems for Client facing experience
Required Skills
AWS RDS hands-on experience
Capacity planning, performance assessment of AWS RDSs
Strong Postgres/SQL Server DB administration experience in production environments
Configuration and support of complex RDS Databases in AWS environment, Configuring and managing high availability, resiliency solutions leveraging Aurora Read replicas & Global Database
Experience in managing multiple RDS, database versions on large systems
Practical experience in monitoring
Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
Experience in using Performance Insights, RDS KPI design and management
Working knowledge of Lambda, Python
Strong technical and functional experience in PostgreSQL Administration and associated tools like PgBouncer, PgPool and other related binaries
Educational background: Grad from CS/ EE or Eng

Experience in Postgres SQL migration approach, estimating it, and technically managing it
Advanced understanding of Linux OS, use SSH to connect to remote systems with password & public/private keys
Good understanding of CI/CD using GitLab
Good understanding of the Batch process and Job scheduling automation
Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels
