Job Description
As an Advisor in the OIA Services Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of government objectives. You will provide technical expertise and advice to ensure that our policies and programs align with the needs of our citizens. Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of OIAs, contributing to key pieces of work across the Ministry, and collaborating with stakeholders both internal and external.

Our team is responsible for receiving, allocating, tracking, and completing OIAs across the Ministry. We are experts in the OIA Act and work hard to support the transparency of and integrity in Ministry decision-making. We value collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, and we are committed to creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities, and meet deadlines while preserving high levels of accuracy. You should also have strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor complex messages to a range of audiences. Interpersonal skills are essential, as you will need to foster good stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with staff of all levels. Additionally, you should have knowledge of the machinery of government, risk management, and managing at the political interface.
