Job Summary
Dialysis Technicians play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. As part of the dialysis healthcare team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and supporting the organization's commitment to quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with their dialysis treatment, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the registered nurse or supervisor.
Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician, following proper protocols and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of patient treatment, including laboratory results and medication administration.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
Certification in dialysis technology (CDT) or related field required.
Ability to lift and move patients safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
