Job Description
Job description
12 hour rotating shifts – 4 on 4 off
Long-term permanent opportunity
Good hourly rate with skills and performance recognition
About the Company
We are a leading international food production company specialising in vegetables and seafood. We have been operating for over 80 years and we supply a wide range of quality New Zealand food products to the world. With a strong commitment to quality, innovation, staff and customer satisfaction, we have established ourselves as a key player in the market.
About The Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to be based in our workshop at the production facility. You will be responsible for working on a range of machinery ensuring that the production equipment is kept in a condition that allows full production to be maintained and running as normal. You must ensure to follow up on assigned work daily and make sure it is executed safely and to the highest standards. Some of our machinery is highly technical and therefore we need mechanically-minded people to join our team. Your duties will include maintaining all documentation and records accurately (both written and electronic). You will be a day to day contact for all maintenance issues and therefore must have excellent communication skills.
You will be required to work on 12 hour rotating shifts. 6am – 6pm and vice versa. This will be based on a 4 on 4 off basis so it will include weekends work – you must be comfortable and able to commit to this to apply. You will be offered a great hourly rate. This is a full time position.
