Responsibilities
Enter journal entries into the accounting software
Accruals/Deferrals/Prepaids
Ensure that reversing entries occur
Conduct a monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
Conduct periodic reconciliations of mortgage accounts to ensure their accuracy
Issue financial statements for Controller review
Assist with assembly of information for owners, investors and regulating entities
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
Assist the Controller with special projects
Special projects, as necessary

Position Title: Accountant

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: A four-year bachelor's degree in accounting is desired. However a minimum of an associate's degree in accounting is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• 2+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience desired
• Excel proficiency is a must
• STRONG data entry proficiency
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Yardi software experience a plus
• Accuracy and attention to detail is a must!
• Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:
