About The Role

The Cardiology Department at Canberra Health Services (CHS) is seeking skilled Cardiac Physiologists and Senior Cardiac Physiologists to join our innovative Allied Health team. We are looking for candidates with 12-months post qualification experience working professionally in invasive and non-invasive cardiology for our Health Professional Level 2 position. We are also seeking candidates with 3-years or more experience working professionally in all areas of invasive and non-invasive cardiology including supporting complex Cath lab procedures, CIED implant and follow up.

Cardiac Physiologist – Health Professional Level 2

An exciting opportunity exists for a cardiac scientist to become a part of the cardiology allied health team. This position requires knowledge and competency to work autonomously to independently conduct routine, and assist in complex, cardiac physiology diagnostic investigations and therapeutic interventions according to procedures and published standards. The role includes supporting the operational and quality management requirements of the service with the provision to educate and train staff and students. The role requires participation in and contribution to continual professional development of the cardiac physiology group. This role will involve participation in an on-call roster.

Senior Cardiac Physiologist – Health Professional Level 3

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced cardiac scientist to join our dynamic and dedicated allied health team. This pivotal role requires significant expertise and the ability to work autonomously, independently conducting complex cardiac diagnostic investigations and therapeutic intervention using up-to-date evidence-based medicine to enhance patient outcomes. Key responsibilities encompass overseeing the cardiac physiology service, providing support to allied health staff, and spearheading the development and implementation of educational programs for both staff and students. Active participation in the continual professional development of the allied health team is essential. This role will involve participation in an on-call roster.
