We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Chief Nurse to join our team in Palmerston North (MidCentral). This pivotal role is a key part of our mission to improve the future of health care in New Zealand.

About the Role
The District Chief Nurse will provide strong, visible, professional and clinical leadership to motivate and inspire nursing colleagues and the wider health workforce. As part of our local district leadership team, you will be accountable for managing health resources, championing patient experience and adhering to the Code of Consumer Expectations.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Empower nursing teams to deliver high-quality patient and whanau care
Model interprofessional working and lead the development of advanced and extended practice
Support alternative service delivery models and take a whole-of-system approach to care
About You
We are looking for a dynamic senior leader with relevant experience within the New Zealand Public Sector. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others.

Requirements
Master's degree in nursing, Public Administration, Health Management or equivalent
Registered Nurse with current Practicing Certificate
At least 5 years' clinical leadership experience
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
