An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Java Software Engineer to join a highly reputable company whose software products are used by 1000’s of customers across the UK. The company is committed to internal training and career progression, as well as fostering diversity and inclusion within their technology teams.

The role offers a hybrid working structure (two days per week in the office on average) and their modern offices are easily accessible via Bournemouth and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
• Work across full software development cycle: coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Write secure, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Maintain technical documentation and release notes.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues with root cause analysis.
• Oversee software releases, troubleshooting, and support.
• Perform infrastructure maintenance and improvements.
• Apply architectural patterns for scalable solutions.
• Implement security best practices in development.
• Ensure solutions align with business goals and user needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose solutions.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of Java/JEE development, including design, testing, and deployment.
• Experience integrating applications and technologies using Java.
• Proficiency in modern web frameworks and integration tools.
• Strong analytical skills for handling complex data and systems.
