The Department of Health, Tasmania offers a unique opportunity for occupational therapists to gain experience in a rotational program. This program provides early career professionals with the chance to work across acute, sub-acute and community settings, receive high-quality supervision and regular professional development.

In this role, you will be part of a diverse team consisting of over +0 members including occupational therapists and assistants, play specialists, diversional therapists, carpenter, and administration officers. The service operates across various settings including the Royal Hobart Hospital, the largest teaching hospital in Tasmania.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary package including an annual salary range of $73,834 - $111,364 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation contribution. Our employer also offers salary packaging options allowing you to reduce your taxable income by up to $+,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year.

Job Description

As a Therapeutic Care Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients within allocated caseloads. You will work closely with other disciplines to establish patient goals, treatment and discharge plans. You will also attend and participate in multidisciplinary meetings and conferences as required.

Key responsibilities include:

Required Skills and Qualifications

Successful applicants will be registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and possess a tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia. Essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times while employed in this role.
