Mechanic Maintenance for Industrial Equipment

Job Overview

We are in search of a proficient Maintenance Mechanic to become a vital part of our esteemed maintenance team. This position will be pivotal in overseeing both the routine and long-term maintenance of our intricate foundry and mill machinery within a robust industrial manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct preventative maintenance on industrial production equipment
• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and rebuild machinery as necessary
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, skid steer loaders, shop cranes, scissor lifts, and articulating man lifts to perform maintenance tasks
• Read and interpret verbal and written safety instructions as well as work specifications

Required Skills
• Capability to read and understand mechanical diagrams and blueprints
• Fundamental knowledge of general mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience in troubleshooting and rebuilding various pump types, including centrifugal, diaphragm, and piston pumps
• Proficiency in utilizing precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Ability to excel in a collaborative team environment while also demonstrating self-initiative to manage multiple tasks
• Ownership of hand tools and commitment to the continuous enhancement of one’s skills

Qualifications
• Previous experience in a maintenance mechanic role or a similar position
• Extensive understanding of mechanical systems along with troubleshooting methodologies
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure
• Effective communication skills
