Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
6+ years of experience as a graphic designer, ideally within a community-focused or public sector environment.
Experience working in, or designing for, Maori and Pacific communities, with a clear understanding of cultural representation and design that resonates with these audiences.
Video editing skills would be an advantage.
Proficiency in designing for a range of different mediums, including print publications, digital marketing and social media platforms, with a deep understanding of how to design for different formats (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, websites).
A strong portfolio showcasing diverse design work, with an emphasis on projects that reflect cultural or social initiatives.
