Job description
Job Title: Director
As a Director, you will exercise significant independence and perform a key leadership role, influencing strategy, policy, priorities, and operational practices in support of DFAT's foreign, trade, and development policy, as well as its global corporate management functions.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice to senior management, Ministers, and other key stakeholders on highly complex or sensitive projects or work programs with strategic, political, and/or operational significance.
Lead teams and manage corporate functions, including budgeting.
Negotiate, advise, and litigate on high-profile international, trade, investment, regulatory, and domestic law issues (for legal roles).
Requirements:
A law degree (or equivalent) from a recognised Australian tertiary education provider, or a degree from an overseas tertiary education provider recognised for admission to practice in Australia.
Entry in the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia or the roll of barristers and solicitors of the Supreme Court of a State or Territory would be desirable.
