Senior Lawyer Role

We are seeking a Senior Lawyer to provide high-quality legal advice to operational and support teams. The successful candidate will conduct anti-doping matters and manage litigation in a government regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide timely and accurate legal advice
Conduct anti-doping matters and manage litigation
Advise on administrative law, anti-doping, commercial law, employment law, and integrity issues
Prepare submissions for the CEO regarding anti-doping rule violations
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Draft and review agreements and contracts
Work on legal policy development and provide advice on regulatory or legislative proposals
Mentor and supervise junior staff
Requirements:

Law degree from an Australian tertiary institution and admission as a legal practitioner
Extensive experience in providing legal advice in relevant practice areas
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads
Experience of building productive working relationships with stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to mentor and supervise junior lawyers
Knowledge of sports anti-doping and integrity frameworks
Proven experience of managing litigation in a government regulatory environment
Baseline clearance and ability to work 5 days a week in the office
