About the Firm

Be part of a leading accounting firm in Canberra, providing comprehensive services across audit, tax, and advisory. They are dedicated to delivering tailored solutions that meet the needs of their diverse client base, ranging from SMEs to large corporations.



Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
Manage the preparation and lodgement of income tax returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns, and other statutory compliance documents for various entities such as companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals. Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to optimise clients' tax positions.
Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as the primary point of contact. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Provide insightful business advisory services, including management accounting, board report preparation, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and succession planning. Assist clients in developing business plans, budgets, and finance submissions.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
Conduct accounting, taxation, and business advisory research to provide technical advice to clients. Stay updated with the latest developments in accounting standards and tax legislation to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice.


Qualifications & Experience:

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred
4 years’ experience in public practice accounting.
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
