AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

We're responsible for ensuring the cloud is always available to our customers, working on complex problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.

You'll collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, operations managers, and other experts to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing low-cost access to our customers.

AWS Global Connectivity and Network Availability (GCNA) is the backbone that connects the global AWS network.

GCNA builds and designs a complex network that allows internet traffic to flow efficiently between Data Centers and customers.

The ideal candidate will share our passion for cloud computing and be passionate about delivering high-quality services.

You will have good knowledge of distributed systems with design and implementation experience, as well as leadership and mentoring skills.

Customer-centricity and excellent technical and communication skills are required.

This is an opportunity to build a new service using AWS technologies.

Key responsibilities include overseeing software development, defining priorities, designing features, building and testing new software.

We operate at a massive scale with globally distributed servers and customers, requiring a deep understanding of what it takes to grow and operate a global business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
